Why ARC Is FDA Approved
You Come First
Our customers are our number one priority. Why? Because we know first-hand (one of our owners is a cancer survivor) how physically and emotionally devastating radiation treatment can be. We wanted to develop quality cancer care solutions a customer can trust, feel safe with and know works. Trusting a brand to safely and effectively treat the side effects of radiation therapy is usually built through medical personnel suggesting a brand to use but, how does a patient choose or trust a brand on their own?
Do you know what to look for in a product to protect your skin before or during radiation treatment? If your doctors or nurses haven’t suggested a product, do you know what to look for? With so many skin care products on the market and so much information online, it can get a little overwhelming especially during a difficult time and sometimes, it’s just too hard to think straight. Thergy wanted to make things really easy and pain-free (literally) for customers by developing an FDA approved, natural, pre-treatment solution for all skin types… called ARC.
When Thergy developed ARC, we wanted to offer a product that was not only easily accessible (OTC) to a patient but, also registered and approved by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration). We wanted everyone to benefit from the proven results of ARC. Having FDA approval also helps build trust and a relationship between our brand and customers which is important to us.
Trust ARC To Protect You
There’s a certain sense of security when you know a brand/product has to go through rigorous testing to meet FDA safety standards. The FDA’s mission statement is “FDA is responsible for advancing the public health by helping to speed innovations that make medical products more effective, safer, and more affordable and by helping the public get the accurate, science-based information they need to use medical products and foods to maintain and improve their health.” Not only is ARC a high-quality, natural solution to protect patients going through radiation treatment but, we wanted to take that one step further. Thergy felt that by registering ARC and getting it approved by the FDA, customers would feel more secure in their decision to buy and use ARC. With so many products online, you never know what you’re getting inside the package. Being transparent and approved by the FDA helps lessen the questions on what ingredients are being used. Lessens the headaches as well. We also provide lots of information on our site (www.thergy.com) such as ARC label, images of patient before-and-after’s, product testing information, esteemed medical testimonials and a number to call for questions.
Bottomline, we want to help cancer patients. We want ARC in the hands of every cancer patient undergoing radiation treatment. ARC has been tested with exceptionally good results, we believe in it and we know that ARC can help prevent the emotional and physical scars of Radiation Dermatitis.
Donate to Fight Cancer
As a nation, we have given billions of dollars (Giving USA) annually to help people in need. That amount continues to climb as the need to help others grows more each year. Fighting cancer has been a strong desire for us and while some progress has been made in prevention and research, it’s unfortunately still touching too many lives.
Since this is October and its Breast Cancer Awareness month, there are many in-need foundations and research companies sending out blogs, posts on social media and email marketing asking for donations. Do you know about the organizations you are giving to? And, is your money going to the right place?
We thought we’d make things easier for you because it can be a daunting task weeding through all the non-profits that are out there as well as figuring out whether they are legit or not. And, you should use these more as a guide and not the sole formative reason.
Do You Know Where Your Money Is Going?
We’ve put together a list of trustworthy charity watch dogs (based from Consumer Reports) and their top-rated cancer organizations, so you can feel more confident in who you donate to. You should be aware of where your money goes and how the organization uses or allocates your money because sadly, there are organizations that spend too much on their administrative costs and not enough going to the worthy cause.

Aside from the Consumer Reports list, we are aware that there are many other cancer related organizations and non-profits out there that can use your help so, check out America’s Best Charities. Their mission: “America’s Best Charities (ABC) is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit association of the nation’s finest charities. Our purpose is to represent charities that meet the highest standards of public accountability and program effectiveness and to facilitate gifts to those charities from contributors in fund drives conducted at work and on the web.” They have an extensive list of cancer related non-profits.
While you do need to do your homework, bottom line, regardless of how much you give, it’s the gesture that matters the most especially to those past and present suffering from cancer as well as those in the future who will.
What Makes ARC Different?
We’re not about to do a tit-for-tat blog on what brands are better or worse. We just want to introduce you to ARC, the new kid on the block, and what it can do for you.
ARC was created from a personal experience with cancer. One of the owners of our company is a cancer survivor. Having gone through the devastating and painful process of radiation therapy, she couldn’t find a product on the market that alleviated the pain and the serious skin damage left after the process. And so, the quest began to create a pre-treatment topical cream that would help prevent Radiation Dermatitis. There are many viable remedies which treat the dry, damaged skin afterwards but, there were no pre-treatment products on the market, nothing to protect against Radiation Dermatitis. And so, this “demand for” became the basis of ARC.
Life Before, During and After Radiation Treatment
Many say that the after effects of radiation therapy can be worse than the cancer itself. Some patients are left with emotional and physical scars. If you’re a person going through cancer, we certainly don’t have to tell you this. Change in appearance and the trauma patients go through can alter their perspective on life and how they see themselves. Even the strongest, and there are many fierce warriors out there, feel these ramifications. Our mission is to alleviate these effects. ARC provides a reduced level of irritation and discomfort while enjoying an increased sense of well-being.
Today, people are making a more conscious effort to live a healthy lifestyle. We are trying to be more cognizant of what we put in and on our bodies. As consumers, and especially cancer patients, trusting a product is a huge component in buying it. It is important to seek brands that are proven effective, authentic (natural if possible), recommended and accessible. Here’s what you should know about ARC.

Know the Benefits of Allantoin
Why Use Allantoin in ARC
The use of natural ingredients is the foundation in the development of THERGY products. One key component in ARC is Allantoin. It is an active ingredient known for its soothing, moisturizing and skin-nourishing benefits. While it is an ingredient that can be synthesized, THERGY prefers to use it in its natural form. Allantoin does occur naturally in your body however, it is also naturally found in such plants as sugar beet, tobacco seed, wheat sprouts, comfrey, and chamomile. It is more popularly extracted from the root of comfrey or chamomile plants.
It has been found to be an effective non-irritating moisturizing ingredient benefiting cancer patients going through radiation therapy. It is just one element within ARC that provides superior skin protection. Allantoin benefits include:
- Protects your skin
- Effectively treats and soothes radiation burns
- Heals dry, rough, itchy, flaky skin
- Softens your skin and helps the skin retain water
- Stimulates the growth of new skin tissue
- Excellent for sensitive skin
THERGY Is With You
There are many other effective ingredients in ARC that we’ll dive into later. We wanted to get the ball rolling by informing our customers of the most effective ingredients we use, how we use them and how they will benefit users. Our focus is to always provide the highest quality of ingredients, to provide a nurturing and healing forum to users because we understand that going through radiation therapy has ramifications affecting the wellbeing of patients inside and out. We want to make the process before, during and after more pain-free, stress-free and burn free. And, that begins with the formulation of quality ingredients we use in our products.
